How long does fafsa take?

I applied in February to receive financial aid for fall of 2011. I will be a transferring junior to SFSU. I received a PIN through mail and when i wanted to check my account they said my account hasn't been processed. it's been 4 months. I just want to know how much aid i will be recieving. and if i do get some aid how do the transactions work from student to school? Do i get a check in mail or does school deal with it directly? thanks
